3.5
Strength Consistent baseline game with solid ability to control the point with the forehand.
Primary Focus Recognizing phase of play (attacking, rallying, defending) and selecting appropriate shots to capitalize on opportunities while managing risk.
3.4

Forehand

Reliable on routine balls with solid directional control and depth.
IMPROVE: Body often remains closed at impact, impairing the kinetic chain and resulting in feeling jammed.
2.7

Backhand

Adequate consistency in neutral, though often sends balls short when off-balance.
IMPROVE: Left wrist remains straight through impact, reducing "solidness" and ability to consistently produce pace.
3.0

Volley

Basic punch volley present with some ability to put away shots on slower balls.
IMPROVE: Backswing is larger than necessary, resulting in late impacts and inconsistent control over depth/power.
3.5

Serve

Functional first serve with adequate pace and a developing slice second serve.
IMPROVE: Timing of jump is too early to effectively contribute to the kinetic chain; peak of jump occurs before impact.

Simply record your strokes from the baseline and upload the clip. Our coaches review your kinetic chain, contact point, and footwork to generate your custom NTRP report.
Assessments are typically completed within 72 hours, but can take up to a week. You will receive an email notification when your premium report card is ready to view.
While our playing rating gives you a highly accurate benchmark of your current level for lessons, leagues, and practice play, official USTA or club leagues may require their own assessments to establish a permanent tournament rating.
